Xavier Reim is a young director based in Paris who is very influenced by the music industry. Born in May, Xavier is a Taurus, which explains why he is so devoted but also stubborn in his work. Most of the time, you can catch him singing badly at a karaoke party, or admiring the thousands of colors of the Côte d’Opale, on the northern French shores.
His parents always taught him that “in order to learn and understand, you have to try for yourself”. That’s why he had worked for so many things during the past 5 years: radio, tv, advertisement, festivals and concert tours…
He is known for his diptych short movies “Vibration” (selected at 2017 Clermont Ferrand Film Festival) and “Animalité”, in which he explores the link between architecture, feelings and personalities in the music festival universe.
After lots of experimentations and try-outs, Xavier Reim is now interested in storytelling and fiction. He is very into people’s stunning life trajectories, even though these are sometimes hurtful and broken. In terms of aesthetics, he likes brutalist architecture, the work around typography, and textures. He's currently working on "Amours Solitaires", the series adaptation of French best-seller and famous Instagram account.
